What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join us who is inspired by our mission and wants to be part of a Trust where children are at the heart of everything we do. You will play a vital role in supporting and nurturing our children, including those with Special Educational Needs, helping to remove barriers to learning so every child can flourish.

Our ideal candidate will be committed to making a profound difference, particularly for our most disadvantaged children, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive. Experience with autism, speech and language development, and knowledge of phonics would also be an advantage, but not essential. The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification that is recognised as full and relevant by the DfE.

Our Trust is dedicated to building an authentic workforce, so if you are excited about this role but your past experience looks a little different to what we’ve identified, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may just be the perfect candidate! We are proud that we are a single organisation with a shared responsibility for all children, and one where you will feel professionally nourished through our extensive development practice and strong wellness offer.

What the school offers its staff

At Dunsford, we believe that education is about more than lessons in a classroom - it’s about sparking curiosity, building confidence, and giving every child the best possible start in life. As a village school at the heart of our community, we value the strong relationships we have with our families and work in partnership to help our children flourish in every aspect of their lives.

Our curriculum is rich, balanced, and full of opportunities to explore, create, and inspire. From a full-sized football pitch to our wild garden and Forest School, we make the most of our incredible outdoor spaces where a wealth of natural resources makes learning fun and awe-inspiring.

This means that by working collectively, we can achieve our absolute best to ensure that children, especially the most vulnerable, can flourish. Our ethos is one of working together to Empower, Excel, Together.

What we can offer you:

  • Make a real difference – every day you’ll have the chance to make a profound difference to children’s lives.
