We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant join our academy, to support pupils with SEND and to ensure that every child succeeds.
Key responsibilities:
· Implement planned learning activities/teacher programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate
· Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
· Understand and support independent learning and inclusion for all pupils
· Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils’ work
Pay: SCP8-12 - £26,378.67 - £27,890.57 - FTE: £29,992 - £31,711
Qualifications and Skills:
· GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent
· TA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience
· Knowledge and understanding of how children learn and how to motivate them
· Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting and the relevant age range
· Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs
· Ability to work with an individual child or with a group
