St Mary's Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our excellent SEND team supporting pupils. The successful applicants will be a positive and proactive will work as part of our SEND/Inclusion team. Candidates must have strong Maths and English skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and have a sufficient command of relevant ICT to be able to support and communicate effectively with staff and pupils.

About the Role:
A true all-rounder, you must be willing and able to support pupils in all curriculum areas, from science to PE, from English to Maths, from Art to Computer Science and every subject in between. Enthusiastic, patient and kind, you must be able to work unsupervised, be flexible, and able to engage and motivate pupils and improve the quality of pupils’ learning and to adapt practice as appropriate.
The role will include with individual students, supporting groups of students or whole classes and other related tasks, including associated administration. This will involve making observations of the children and feeding back necessary information to the pupils’ teachers/SENDCO.
The working pattern of this role is Term Time Only, Thursday and Friday, 8.30am - 3.15pm with ½ hours unpaid lunchbreak and unpaid break each day, total 12.5 hours per week.
