Learning Support Assistant / Lunchtime Assistant - Hybrid Role - 16 Hours per week job summary
West SILC is offering a unique flexible hybrid role which blends the roles of Lunchtime Assistant and Learning support Assistant.
The lunchtime assistant role is to actively supervise the pupils in the dining room, playground and throughout the school premises during the lunchtime period for 3 days a week.
The main purpose of the Learning Support Assistant role is to work within a class team under the direction of the class teacher, usually in the classroom to support learning; provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom and support the pupils to meet their personal needs. This part of the role would be undertaken 2 days a week 9.30am-2.30pm, timings can be flexible to suit candidates and can be agreed prior to contract.
We cater for pupils between the ages of 2 and 19 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, on specialist sites and mainstream partnership schools.
