Learning Support Assistant - Nursery job summary
We wish to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and inspirational Early Years Learning Support Assistant to work in our outstanding nursery with children aged 3-4 years. Our schools are a dynamic, supportive and happy place to work.
The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about teaching and learning to join our team. You will provide support and lead the learning activities and the social / emotional development of children on an individual or group basis, under the general direction of the Class Teacher. You will be an enthusiastic advocate of enhancing early child development through an active, play based approach.
The ideal candidate will be:
• Experienced in working with children in an Early Years setting and have a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
• Fully committed to inclusion.
• Enthusiastic, reliable and able to work well as part of a team.
• Able to develop positive relationships and liaise effectively with parents and carers as well as other outside agencies.
• Positive and adaptable with a proactive attitude.
• Experienced in assisting the teacher in planning learning activities
• Experienced in delivering whole class teaching.
• The ability to supervise other support staff.
• Confident using technology to support teaching and learning.
• A good communicator to all relevant parties.
• Level 3 qualification or above in a relevant field is desirable.
Start date: Summer term 2022 or September 2022 dependant on candidate
Salary: BG8 (£22,627 - £24,491 pa, pro rata)
Contract: Part time, term time only plus 5 inset days and permanent
