If so, we eagerly await your application. At Ormiston Park Academy, we are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our inclusive and nurturing team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs), helping them to integrate fully into academy life and reach their full potential.

As an LSA, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Support the learning and development of students with an EHCP

  • Run tailored programmes and small group activities to support social and academic progress

  • Help implement personalised learning targets in collaboration with teaching staff and the ASCEND team

  • Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour

  • Facilitate inclusion both in the classroom and around the academy

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to student reviews and reports

    This role offers the chance to play a vital part in a student’s educational journey while working within a supportive and experienced SEN department.

    • Have a keen interest in supporting students with additional needs
    • Be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with students, parents, external agencies and Local Authority.
    • Motivate and encourage pupils that you work with.
