Learning Support Assistant (Part Time) job summary

£14,368 - £15,279 (26.5 hpw term time only) + Pension Scheme (LGPS), Healthcare package & additional Lift School Benefits.

26.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only), Permanent, Part Time

Pioneer is a very successful special school providing for children and young people between the ages of 3 to 19 with Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties. We have purpose built facilities and an opportunity has arisen to join our team in this exciting environment.

We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work in partnership with class teachers to support the pupils' learning in line with codes of practice and school policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be required to support learning, attend to pupils' personal needs as required, helping with social, welfare, care and health matters, which may include toileting, dressing, feeding and mobility.

Ideally we are looking for a candidate with previous experience of working with children with special educational needs but this role would also suit a candidate who is looking to get SEN classroom experience.

All shortlisted candidates will be required to take a basic numeracy & literacy test.
