Learning Support Assistant (SEN) job summary
Broomfield SILC is a specialist provision based in South Leeds for children who have a wide range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Our children are inspirational and it is a privilege to support them with their learning opportunities.
We are looking for Learning Support Assistants who have the commitment, passion and resilience to make a difference to young peoples’ lives. Exciting opportunities are available for anyone who is looking for a new challenge in a child focused, supportive environment where relationships are key.
Previous experience of working in a school is not essential but we are seeking candidates with transferrable skills who want to invest in our pupils and deliver high quality learning opportunities.

Our SILC consists of Broomfield main site and two mainstream partnership sites, based at Windmill Music federation, Rodillian Academy and Future Steps Hub (White Rose Business Park)*.

We are an all-age generic special school serving South Leeds. We cater for a wide range of learning needs from moderate learning difficulties; severe learning difficulties; complex and multiple learning needs to Asperger’s and Autism. Some students have additional needs – physical; medical; speech and language; visual, hearing or sensory impairment.
Many pupils are based on our main Broomfield site and in addition some within our mainstream partnership sites - Windmill Music Federation and Rodillian Academy, where opportunities for mainstream inclusion are maximised, if appropriate.
