Learning Support Assistant job summary

Position: Learning Support Assistant

Terms: 11hrs per week (08:50 – 15:20 Thursday and Friday) Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: Grade 5, Points 5-6, Hourly rate £12.85 - £13.05

We seek to appoint a reliable, caring and well-motivated Learning Support Assistant to support our children access their learning. This is an excellent opportunity to join a warm, welcoming, friendly school and be part of a hardworking teams at St. Peter’s CE Primary and Nursery School.

Work under the guidance of the teaching staff and nominated teaching assistants to support access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom, including support for individual Education Health Care Plans (EHCP’s). This will include the preparation and routine maintenance of resources / equipment. Work with pupils will be carried out in or out of the classroom.
