What skills and experience we're looking for
Qualifications and training
- Good standard of general education, with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and maths.
- Level 2 (or above) qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, or a related field (desirable).
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and CPD.
Experience
- Experience working with young children, ideally in a nursery or Early Years setting.
- Experience supporting children with a range of needs, including those with SEND (desirable).
Skills and knowledge
- Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Ability to support learning through play and planned activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use initiative and work as part of a team.
- Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
