What skills and experience we're looking for

Looking for a job where you can really make a difference?

Join our warm, welcoming team and help transform the lives of children with special educational needs.

Due to our school’s expansion, we’re looking for new Learning Support Assistants to support our pupils in the classroom and out in the community.

Available roles:
We have full time (Monday to Friday) and part time (Thursdays and Fridays) roles available starting ASAP. The hours are 8.30am to 3.15pm, 31.25 hours per week, term time only plus INSET days

About The Avenue School:
We’re a vibrant, friendly SEN school supporting over 250 pupils aged 3 - 19 with a range of severe or profound learning difficulties, autism, and physical disabilities. We offer small, well-resourced classes and a truly inclusive approach to learning—both inside and outside the classroom.

What you’ll do:
You’ll work in the classroom as part of a team, supporting children with their learning, care needs, communication and behaviour. You’ll help pupils achieve their potential, whether that’s reading a new word, exploring the local area, or just making them smile.

No two days are the same, and the work is as rewarding as it is varied.
