What skills and experience we're looking for

We are recruiting additional Learning Support Assistants to join our new state of the art academy in Frindsbury, Strood. The successful candidates will be required to work with students across the Academy and on a 1:1 basis, to ensure that students’ needs do not become a barrier to learning and making progress.

Our Learning Support Assistants will be required to understand individual students’ needs and work with subject teachers so that they can develop learning programmes appropriate to the needs of those students. Support will encompass both in class and through targeted interventions, which may also involve small group work.

Experience of working with primary or secondary aged children with the ability to raise aspirations to ensure the best possible outcomes will be beneficial, as will the ability to motivate children, have a passion to make a positive outcome for the children and have high expectations of children’s emotional, social and mental health development. Excellent interpersonal skills together with good knowledge of ICT would be essential.

This role is initially offered as a fixed term contract working on a 1:1 basis with students with a high level of SEND.
