About the Role

We’re looking for a Learning Support Classroom Lead to join our dynamic Learning Support Department. This is a key role supporting pupils with bespoke curriculums, behavioural needs, and emotional challenges.

You will:

Support pupils who are out of the classroom for a variety of reasons.

Help students manage behaviour through self-regulation strategies

Implement Behaviour Support Plans in collaboration with the SENCO and SEN team

Provide pastoral care and build pupil resilience and self-esteem

Work with families, staff, and external agencies to ensure holistic support

Track progress and maintain accurate record

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and attendance challenges

Supervise students not following a standard timetable

Help assess needs and develop tailored support strategies

Promote reintegration for pupils returning from absence or exclusion

Act as a mentor and positive role model

Encourage ownership of learning and behaviour

Who We are Looking For

We are seeking someone who:

Believes every child can succeed

Is empathetic, resilient, and proactive

Understands barriers to learning and how to overcome them

Communicates clearly and is highly organised

Works well in a team and values professional development

Holds GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths

Experience in Learning Support or SEN is desirable, but not essential – full training will be provided.
