What skills and experience we're looking for
Learning Support Practitioner – Join Our Supportive and Experienced Team
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and professional Learning Support Practitioner to join our team of LSPs. This role involves working closely with students in class and providing one-to-one support where appropriate.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has an interest in, and ideally experience of, supporting students with a range of difficulties including specific learning difficulties: dyslexia/dyspraxia, SEMH and ASD
- A good working knowledge of all subjects up to and including GCSE is essential
The successful candidate will:
- Educated to a good standard
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Be self-motivated, organised, and adaptable
- Solution focused and flexible in their approach
- Show a genuine interest in developing the role further

St Joseph’s College is an outstanding highly successful, mixed Catholic School in the trusteeship of the Congregation of Christian Brothers. We are an outstanding school, an Academy since 2011 and in 2012 were designated as the only secondary Teaching School in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.
