If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as we are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team!
At St George’s we strive to offer every pupil a strong, secure learning environment, supporting them to be the very best that they can. Our Learning Support Assistants play a vital role in helping us to achieve this as they provide high level support for pupils in class.
Reporting to the SENDCo and working within your designated Subject Department, you will provide a high level of first class support for pupils in all Years 7 to 11 in the classroom, within small groups and individually. The majority of the support takes place within a student’s timetabled day under the direction and guidance of the class teacher. You will be an integral part of the Learning Support Department and the friendly and committed team here at St George’s.
The ideal candidate will have experience of, or demonstrable knowledge of, children with special educational needs within a school setting. Whilst previous experience is desirable it is not essential as full training will be given.
We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to work 3 days a week.
About the Role
Grade: H3 (Full-Time Equivalent salary is from £21,575 to £21,968 plus outer fringe allowance of £663 per annum)
Salary: Range from £9,800 to £9,973per annum including annual outer fringe allowance
Hours: 19.5 hours per week, 3 days a week, term time only
- Monday and Thursday: 8:30 am - 3:45 pm
- Friday: 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
The above hours include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break per working day. Free meal will be provided on school site.
