Level 1 Teaching Assistant job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic, committed individual who have experience working with children, good communication skills and a positive approach to challenging situations and coping with change

This is an opportunity for a Practitioner to further their experience by undertaking learning support within an extended setting, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to developing high quality learning and play that will provide support and guidance for the children in our care. Excellent training opportunities will be provided and the support of a well-qualified and experienced team is assured.

Candidates should have Learning Support and Childcare qualifications NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline OR appropriate experience and a willingness to participate in relevant training and development opportunities.

Working under the direct supervision of the Deputy Head Teacher and Key stage Manager, you will support the child with day-to-day classroom activities, support with their learning, and help maintain a safe and orderly environment.

You’ will play a valuable role in promoting good behaviour, helping with classroom routines, and supporting the social and emotional development of the pupil. Strong communication skills, patience, and a willingness to learn are key to success in this role.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school setting, contribute to pupils’ progress, and grow as part of a supportive educational team.
