What skills and experience we're looking for

The Stephen Longfellow Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Level 1 Teaching Assistant. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy - the successful applicant will be expected to work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, usually in the classroom with the teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Good numeracy/literacy skills.
  • The ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • Experience of working with or caring for children.
