The governors and headteacher are looking to appoint a strong and committed Teaching Assistant to work in a KS2 class. This position is initially temporary for one budget constraints, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent based on future school budgets.
We pride ourselves on being a very happy, vibrant, and successful school with wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. We welcome applications from Level 1, Level 2, or experienced TAs, and the final role layout (full or part-time) will be based on the strengths and experience of the successful candidate.
The successful applicant will be:
- An excellent practitioner: Passionate about children's learning, progress, and well-being, with high expectations of self and others.
- Knowledgeable and flexible: Possessing excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, with the ability to secure successful learning for children with a wide range of needs.
- A skilled communicator: Able to use their own initiative, demonstrate patience and resilience, and build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- A team player: Ready to work flexibly and responsively as part of a committed, inclusive staff team.
- Experienced in SEND support: Having experience delivering intervention including phonics—preferably using the Little Wandle scheme—to support group interventions.
