Deanery C E Primary School is a caring, friendly and successful two-form entry academy primary school. We are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team supporting children with special educational needs.

We are looking for a dedicated professional to provide tailored support to children and be committed to make a positive difference to their lives in supporting their learning and development. Someone who is able to:

  • Work across the whole primary setting, including nursery
  • Demonstrate effective communication with children and adults
  • Work as part of a team
  • Have initiative and the desire to take ownership of tasks
  • Support the learning of small groups of children or work 1:1
  • Undertake training as necessary and deliver phonics and early reading to small groups and ‘keep up’ sessions with individual children.
  • Work with children who have a range of SEND
  • Administer first aid and provide intimate care as required in line with the child’s needs.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
