What skills and experience we're looking for

Grenoside Community Primary School is part of the Peak Edge Academy Trust set in the village of Grenoside. We are co-educational and have just under 350 on roll with pupils coming from Grenoside and from the wider local area. School Leadership is seeking to appoint a strong and committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within our KS1 team providing 1:1 support for a child additional needs.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a good educational background with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understand the education system and how children learn
  • Be able to make positive relationships with children, working closely with pupils who are finding learning difficult
  • Have a positive and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative
  • Have knowledge of the need for confidentiality and awareness of child protection issues
  • ·Have flexibility of working hours, committed and reliable with excellent timekeeping
