Level 2 Teaching Assistant job summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our committed and enthusiastic team working in our Enhanced Resource Base (The Woodland) as well as in the main school. ‘The Woodland’ caters for 8-10 children with social communication difficulties where 100% mainstream provision is not appropriate. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our teacher led team as well as supporting in the main school. This will be a temporary 6 month contract (with potential to extend).

We’d love to hear from you if you:

Have experience and/ or particular interest in the area of Autism;

Have experience of working with children who may need adaptions to the way they work to achieve their full potential;

Understand that some children may communicate through their behaviour;

Have a ‘can do’ and ‘never give’ up attitude when working with vulnerable young people;

Ability to promote both the academic progress and well-being of children;
