Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Key Stage Based - Fixed Term to 17th July 2026 job summary

We are excited to offer a new Teaching Assistant role where you will work across classes in a Key Stage. We are able to offer different hours to our class-based TA role as long as you start by 9.30am and work until 3pm. You can work between 2 and 5 days a week.

This is a fixed term contract to 17th July 2026 and whilst we cannot guarantee the Key Stage you will work in, we will try and accommodate your preference.

Ivel Valley is a special needs school and college in Biggleswade, providing education for pupils aged 3-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.

Our school site on Hitchmead Road supports pupils from Early Years to Key Stage 4 with the majority of students continuing to post-16 education at our College site at The Baulk, Biggleswade.

The posts are fixed term for this academic year and are for term-time only working. Part-time requests will be considered for a reduced number of days.

Please read the attached job specifcation, job description and letter to candidates noting carefully the required English and maths qualifications required for the role (evidence of grades will be required prior to interview).

You will be provided with a full induction programme to give you the training you need to succeed. You are not required to have any specific Teaching Assistant qualification or school-based experience, just a great attitude!
