What skills and experience we're looking for

The post involves working predominantly in our Reception and KS1 class. You will be working under the guidance of the Class Teacher and will support the delivery of the whole curriculum, with potential for working 1-to-1 to support individual children or small groups of children. Experience in the EYFS is desirable, but not essential. You may be required to help with lunchtime supervision.

We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, shows initiative and has a desire to have a positive impact on pupils’ learning outcomes.

You will need to:

  • Be able to build positive relationships with children
  • Be hard working, enthusiastic and creative, with plenty of patience and an understanding of children’s needs
  • Offer encouragement and praise to build self-confidence
  • Provide feedback on learning progress to the Class Teacher
  • Be flexible and adaptable with excellent communication skills
  • Have a positive outlook.
