St Mary's Catholic Primary School, Newton Aycliffe is looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning within the classroom, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment where all pupils can thrive. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and committed to making a difference in children’s education.

Working under the guidance of the class teacher, you will assist with the delivery of lessons, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and help manage classroom behaviour and routines. You may also support pupils with additional needs, adapting resources and approaches to ensure every child can access the curriculum.

Your responsibilities will include preparing learning materials, supporting assessment and feedback, and contributing to the overall care and wellbeing of pupils. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents are essential.
