Level 2 Teaching Assistant job summary
As a Level 2 TA, you will work under the guidance of teaching staff and the SENCo to:
- Support students with additional needs both in and out of the classroom.
- Deliver tailored learning activities to individuals and small groups.
- Promote inclusion, independence, and self-esteem.
- Assist with Individual Healthcare Plans and academic mentoring.
- Support transitions between schools and liaise with specialist services.
- Provide exam support and contribute to school trips and enrichment activities
- A caring and proactive individual with experience in supporting learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt learning materials and motivate students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) are desirable.
- Will possess GCSE English & Maths Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEND of behavior needs would be beneficial.
