The Role- Level 3 Childcare Practitioner

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Level 3 Childcare Practitioner to join our Pre-School team on a maternity cover basis. The role involves supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities, working with small groups and individual children, including those with additional needs, and ensuring their safety, care, and wellbeing.

You will support learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), act as a key person for a group of children, work closely with parents and carers, and contribute to planning, observations, and daily nursery routines. A good understanding of EYFS and phonics, along with a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills, is essential.

You will be appointed on Grade 5, SCP 7-11 working 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Your working pattern will be discussed at interview stage.

  • Have a proven record of working in a nursery/EYFS environment
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Be able to promote the vision and values of the school, demonstrating high professional standards.
  • Have a recognised Level 3 qualification in childcare, this is a requirement for the role
