Level 3 Early Years Practitioner required as soon as possible

We are seeking to recruit a dedicated, caring and ambitious Early Years Practitioner who is able to support in making sure that our children are safe, happy and stimulated in our nursery class at Kings Oak Academy. The Practitioner will initially be working with 3- and 4-year-olds and Reception children, but will likely in the future, have the role of room lead for 2 old year-old provision as the nursery provision expands.

Kings Oak Academy is part of Unity Education Trust who provide education for Norfolk children across all age ranges, mainstream, specialist provision, SEND and complex needs. When joining our federation, you will become part of our successful family of schools that prides itself in developing all.

The successful candidate will have:

An appropriate childcare qualification at Level 3 or above

At least Level 2 in English and Maths

At least 2 years’ experience of working in a Early Years environment

Excellent communication skills

The ability to work under the direction of the EYFS lead, but can use their own initiative to support children’s development

The ability to lead other Early Years Practitioners within a ‘room’, in the case of nursery expansion

The ability to establish a positive relationship with children, parents and staff

The willingness to contribute to the common goals of the school and Unity Education Trust

Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework within an Early Years setting
