Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant job summary

As a qualified Level 3 Early Years practitioner, you will work under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. Staff may also supervise whole classes occasionally during the short-term absence of teachers. The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task.

We are looking for someone who:

Has a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Has the ability to build strong, nurturing relationships with children

A proven record of effective behaviour management

Is a strong team player and enjoys working with others

Is flexible and adaptable, and ready for no two days being the same

Is caring and patient, with a good sense of humour

Has high expectations and a belief that all children can succeed

Has an understanding of SEN interventions and strategies to support pupils with additional needs.

Confidence using IT and educational technology.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
