Caldmore Primary Academy are looking to appoint a 1-year fixed term Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant who strives to share their passion for education with our students and join our dedicated team to uphold the Academy’s vision and values.

We are seeking to appoint an organised and committed individual to provide support for a pupil with special educational needs who has an Educational, Health and Care Plan. The Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant will ensure that the pupil can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by the other children in the class and make progress with their individual targets.

The successful candidate will join an academy which is dynamic and inspiring, creating a culture of outstanding success amongst our students. As a key member of the team, you will run specific programmes and activities to assist the pupil’s individual learning needs. The Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant will be responsible for implementing the targets on the pupil’s individual plans in liaison with the class teacher and SENCO. The appointed candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and will be supported by a strong SLT.

Previous experience of working with children with a variety of SEND needs such as autism, speech and language difficulties, dyslexia, trauma, anxiety, adverse childhood experiences and other mental health needs is essential. You will hold a level 3 Teaching and Learning qualification or equivalent and have demonstrable experience of supporting outstanding teaching and learning.

We welcome applications from ambitious candidates, keen to make a difference who have a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every student.
