St Matthew’s Primary and Nursery Academy, Derriford
Contract Term: Permanent
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: Grade SC3 NJC points 6-9 Actual starting Salary £19,723 (FTE £25,989)
Term Time only: 39 weeks per annum
Annual Leave: Taken outside of term time and paid pro-rata throughout the year (no annual leave to be taken during term time)
Benefits: Local Government Pension Scheme

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our specialist provision for a small group of pupils with EHCPs.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Provision Lead, supporting pupils throughout the school day with their learning, communication, social interaction and play skills. You will help to create a calm, structured and nurturing environment where all pupils are supported to experience success and make progress.
We are looking for someone who:
· Has previous experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
· Ideally has experience in a specialist setting or has worked with children with complex needs
· Is committed, patient and able to build positive relationships with pupils
· Understands the importance of emotional regulation, independence and consistent routines
· Works effectively as part of a team and communicates clearly with colleagues
