Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Hours of work: 30 hours per week- Monday -Friday 8:30am -3:30pm with 1 - hour lunch break, Term Time only

£17,789- £18,361 Actual Annual Salary

We are looking to recruit a friendly and approachable Teaching Assistant to work across Year 6

The ideal candidate would be someone able to work calmly and flexibly using a variety of interventions to meet the needs of our children.

You must enjoy the challenge of working with our remarkable children and want to make a difference to their well-being and education.

Ideally, you will have previous experience of working with young people and /or an understanding of special needs.

We are looking to employ someone who will have a positive influence on our children.

Main Duties;

* Provide support in the classroom to individuals/groups as directed by the lass teacher/line manager (e.g adapting activities to meet pupils' needs within IEPs, care plans etc.)

* Follow and implement the school's behaviour and related policies and procedures. Invigilate tests and examinations as directed.

* Provide support for learning in the classroom as directed by the class teacher/line manager and help to maintain the order of cleanliness of the classroom environment e.g putting up displays, (may involve the '21 tasks of the National Agreement)

* Assist in the supervision of children during the working day, on/off site including for example school visits, swimming; accompany children home or hospital before and after school
