This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and outstanding academy. We are seeking to appoint a talented and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to provide general classroom support for teachers and to students as well as intervention, 1:1 support and to work in the inclusion room. The daily working hours for this post are 8.30 am to 3.30 pm Monday to Friday.

Do you have:

  • 12 months experience of supporting students in an employment or voluntary capacity?
  • Experience of working with SEND students in particular those with an Autism diagnosis?
  • Excellent interpersonal skills?
  • Flexibility to adapt and meet needs on a weekly and sometimes basis?

Are you:

  • Able to work as part of the SEND team to successfully include all SEND students in every day school life?
  • Able to work with a range of different students as directed by the SENCo?
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent with good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills?
  • Wanting to be part of a warm, outward looking community, which celebrates diversity and is supportive and collaborative?
  • Able to converse at ease with staff, students, parents and members of the public in accurate spoken English?

Duties to include but not exclusive to:

  • 1:1 classroom support for students with an Autism diagnosis
  • Pastoral support for students
  • Record keeping
  • Communication with teaching staff where required
  • Additional SEND support across the school when required
