About the role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring they are safe, included, and engaged in learning.
  • Work under the guidance of teachers to deliver learning programmes for individuals and groups, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist with planning, preparation of resources, and the management of classroom routines.
  • Supervise whole classes occasionally during short-term teacher absence.
  • Help implement EHCPs, individual support plans and personal care programmes, supporting pupils’ social, emotional, health and welfare needs.
  • Contribute to a positive, purposeful learning environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve, grow in independence, and build their self-esteem.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • An understanding of Trauma-informed practice, and experience of working with students who have complex needs including SEMH needs.
  • Experience of planning and delivering small group and individual interventions for students.
