The Role - Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Lutley Primary School is a successful and popular primary school based in Halesowen. We are looking for a hardworking, passionate, creative Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is organised, self‑ motivated and confident as well as being good communicators with excellent interpersonal skills.

You will deliverpre-set learning activities in the absence of a teacher. Managing the behaviour of pupil whilst you are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment. Provide cover in genuine emergencies, normally for no more than two sessions per term.

You will be appointed on Grade 5, working 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year on a permanent contract. Your working pattern will be discussed at interview stage.

Your actual salary range will be £18,420 to £20,143 per annum (Pending pay review)

You will:

• Have CACHE Level 3 in Teaching and Learning to the equivalent or relevant.
• Be an effective practitioner with the ability and desire to improve their practice
• Have high expectations of yourself and others
• Have a proven record of working in partnership with class teachers which has resulted in good attainment and progress for children
• Have experience of working with pupils on a 1:1 basis
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Be highly organised, motivated and flexible with the ability to inspire and challenge children
• Be able to promote the vision and values of the school, demonstrating high professional standards.
