Our pupils join us from mainstream schools because they benefit from a setting that can provide additional behavioural support and a more personalised approach to helping them succeed.

Principal Accountabilities
- Promote & safeguard the welfare of all pupils, including Looked After Children
- Use Specialist skills and training, particularly ELSA to support pupils
- Arrange & develop 1:1 mentoring arrangements & provide support to disengaged/ vulnerable pupils
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of pupils to determine those in need of particular help
- Challenge & motivate pupils, promote & reinforce self-esteem
- Assist in development & implementation of appropriate emotional support strategies
- Take the lead in implementing & delivering on Mental Health projects for both students & staff
- Administrative support, updating records, liaise with parents and carers as required
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children or young people
- Is patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people
- Is ELSA trained
- Has NVQ level 3 teaching assistant or equivalent
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Works well in a team but can also use their initiative
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
