Literacy Intervention Leader job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed colleague to join our team as Literacy Interventions Leader. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, building confidence, and helping students achieve their potential.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing students’ reading skills, learning habits, and independence. Working closely with colleagues across the school, you will deliver targeted literacy interventions, provide personalised support, and contribute to a positive culture of reading and learning.
Using reading age information, assessment data, and staff feedback, you will identify students who would benefit from additional support, deliver engaging small-group and individual sessions, and monitor progress.
You will also support our Study Centre and library provision, creating a welcoming and purposeful environment where students can read, study, complete homework, and access support before and after school.
We welcome applications from candidates who are passionate about supporting young people. Experience in literacy, interventions, education, or mentoring would be an advantage, but we also value transferable skills, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Training and support will be provided for the right person.
We are looking for someone who is approachable, organised, adaptable, and committed to making a positive difference to our students.
