About the role
As the school's Literacy Mentor, you will be responsible for:
- The learning and achievement of students with specific literacy needs
- Ensuring equality of opportunity for all and being accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct.
- Delivering lessons and literacy interventions to groups or individual students.
- Leading literacy intervention meetings as required.
- Promoting development and learning (physical, emotional, educational, social)
- Providing a first point of contact with students, families, external agencies, and universities
Permanent, 39 weeks per year, 37 hours per week

Malcolm Arnold Academy is a co-educational secondary school based in Northampton, Northamptonshire, for students aged 11-18.
The school takes its name from the legendary composer Sir Malcolm Arnold. Born in Northampton in 1921, he was one of the leading figures in 20th-century classical music and helped to establish the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.
