• Show an understanding of special educational needs within a school setting (including autistic spectrum, learning difficulties, behavioural and emotional difficulties).
• Demonstrate personal resilience and role model those personal qualities we wish to instill in our young people.
YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:
· Deliver targeted literacy intervention sessions to small groups and individual students. Full training on our programmes will be given.
· Assess students' literacy needs and track progress using baseline and follow-up assessments.
· Collaborate with teaching staff to identify students requiring support and tailor interventions accordingly.
· Adapt resources and strategies to meet the diverse literacy needs of KS3 and KS4 students.
· Monitor and record student outcomes, providing regular feedback to the SENCo and wider pastoral/academic teams.
· Literacy testing and co-ordination of intervention for EAL students.
