What skills and experience we're looking for

Essential Qualifications

  • 5 good GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics

Essential Experience

  • Have experience of working under pressure to deadlines
  • Have experience of supporting students in their learning
  • Be able to evidence experience of working effectively within a team and the subsequent impact
  • Be fully IT competent and be able to advise others where appropriate

Essential Skills and Abilities

  • Be able to relate to young people
  • Be able to lead others
  • Be able to research around an area of specialism related to SEND
  • Be confident in supervising and assisting students
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Have a commitment to professional development
  • Have good organisational skills
  • Have a first aid certificate or be willing to gain this within an agreed time frame
