LSA/SEND & Classroom job summary

The individual will: 

  • Work with individuals or small groups of children with SEND under the direction of teaching staff

  • Demonstrate competence in implementing planned learning activities / teaching programmes as agreed with colleagues, adjusting activities according to pupil's response

  • Ba able to support pupils with literacy and numeracy skills

  • Promote the inclusion of children with SEND both within the classroom and during non class-based learning, ensuring access to learning through appropriate clarification, explanation and resources

  • Help children with social, welfare and health matters

  • Be resilient and positive, showing initiative and flexibility to have excellent inter-personal and communication

skills.
