Lunch Time Ancillary Assistant / Midday – Join Our Supportive Team!
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a part time Lunchtime Assistants to join our fantastic team at Horton Lodge.
About the Role
We require Lunchtime Assistants Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day (10 hours per week). This is fixed term until July 2026 with the hope of extending dependent on funding.
As an Ancillary Assistant, you will work under the direct instruction of teaching staff, providing essential support to both pupils and teachers during the lunch time period. You will play a key role in supporting pupils to develop their self help skills and meet their personal needs. You will maintain a clean and safe environment.

- Has experience working with or caring for children of primary school age (or willingness to learn)
- Is confident and approachable with strong communication skills
- Can relate well to both children and adults
- Is adaptable, willing to take on a variety of tasks, and eager to learn

Horton Lodge Community Primary School is a maintained special school for children aged 2-11 years with physical disabilities, associated learning difficulties and a range of complex needs including communication, sensory, and health.
