What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a reliable and committed Lunchtime Controller to join our dedicated, supportive and hard-working team.

We are looking for someone who:

  • can use positive behaviour strategies to support children, helping them learn through play
  • is able to communicate well with children
  • is able to work as part of a team, making lunchtimes a valuable and enjoyable educational experience
  • is motivated, enthusiastic and energetic
  • is willing to undertake training as required
  • is able to work both in and outdoors in all weathers.

Bearwood Primary School was originally built in 1847, with the original building being Grade II listed. Its history is linked with the Walter family of Bearwood House. We have a well-equipped and resourced building, spacious grounds and a dedicated, knowledgeable and hardworking team of staff whose aim is to do the best for each child.

We are a 1.5 form-entry maintained local authority school, with children from Foundation Stage (age 3) right through to Year 6 (age 11). We are a GOOD school on our journey to becoming Outstanding.
