What skills and experience we're looking for

Monday to Friday 11.55am to 1.10pm - 1 Hours and 15 minutes per day – 6.25 Hours per week - Term time only - Required from September 2025

Are you friendly, reliable and enjoy working with children? Caversham Primary School is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Lunchtime Controller to join our supportive team and help ensure a safe, happy and positive lunchtime experience for all our pupils.

The hours and days worked can be flexible – please discuss with the school.

About the Role:

As a Lunchtime Controller, you’ll play a vital part in the school day – supervising pupils in the dining hall and playground, encouraging good behaviour, and promoting healthy play. You’ll help children feel safe, engaged and ready to learn when they return to the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise pupils during lunch in the dining hall and outside in the playground

• Encourage healthy eating and support good table manners

• Organise and support safe and inclusive play activities

• Help manage behaviour in line with the school’s values and policies

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children during lunchtime
