Lunchtime Controller job summary

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include:

Lunch Time Controller
  • Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground, and other areas during the lunch break.

  • Encourage positive play and support social interaction.

  • Assist younger pupils with eating and basic routines.

  • Follow school behaviour and safeguarding procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience working with children (in a school or similar setting).

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.

  • Willingness to contribute positively to our vibrant school community.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • First Aid training

  • Experience supporting children with SEND or behavioural needs

  • Awareness of safeguarding and Health & Safety practices in schools
