Lunchtime Playleader job summary
The role at St Jude's
As a Lunchtime Playleader at St Jude’s CofE Primary Academy, you will play an important role in supporting pupils’ wellbeing, happiness, and development during the lunchtime period. Guided by the school’s Christian ethos and its belief that “Children are the Rainbow of the World,” you will help create a safe, inclusive, and positive play environment where every child feels valued, respected, and encouraged to flourish.
You will actively support and supervise pupils during lunch and playtimes, promoting positive behaviour, kindness, and cooperation in line with the school’s values of respect, nurture, belief, and outstanding behaviour. Through organising games, encouraging active play, and supporting children to resolve minor difficulties, you will help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and strong relationships with others.
Working closely with teaching and support staff, you will ensure that lunchtimes are calm, enjoyable, and well-managed, contributing to a welcoming school community where pupils feel safe and supported. Your role will help reinforce the school’s commitment to developing happy, healthy learners who are inspired to achieve their best and treat others with care and respect.
