Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician

Pickwick Academy Trust would like to recruit a permanent, part-time Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician based at Corsham Primary School (Pound Pill Site).

Hours:

10 hours per week, 11.45 - 1.45pm, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year (term time only, excluding TD Days).

Salary:

B2, £23,656 pro rata, per annum (actual salary £5358 per annum)

Start date: 3rd September 2025

The role involves providing pupils with lunchtime support and developing play opportunities together with some classroom administration support work.

Corsham Primary School is located in the picturesque Wiltshire market town of Corsham, near Bath, and is arranged over two sites located at either side of the town. Pound Pill site offers 14 classes and the Broadwood site houses 10 classes, both supporting children from Reception to Year 6. Role overview

Corsham Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician who brings energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for supporting children.

This varied role includes supporting pupils during lunchtime and helping to create positive and engaging play opportunities, as well as providing valuable classroom administration support.

Duties will include:

Supervise pupils during lunchtimes both in the dining hall and playground, ensuring safety, good behaviour, and respectful social interaction.

Plan and deliver engaging weekly play activities, working closely with the Playworker Leader and evaluating outcomes.

Support pupils who find lunchtime routines challenging by working in partnership with class teachers and staff.

Respond appropriately to minor injuries or incidents, referring to the Lunchtime Team Supervisor or Medical Room as needed.

Carry out classroom admin tasks including laminating, backing work, changing reading books, and hearing individual readers.

Assist with preparing and maintaining classroom displays and resources, including cataloguing and mending books.

Maintain confidentiality, promote equal opportunities, and follow all safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
