Lunchtime Supervisor job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lunchtime Supervisor at Holybrook Primary School.
The successful candidate will ensure the supervision and safety of children throughout the school lunch period, both in the dining hall and outside in the playground. The role will involve creating a positive lunchtime experience by encouraging good table manners, supporting social skills, promoting inclusive play and managing behaviour consistently.
Holybrook Primary School is part of Exceed Academies Trust, which currently consists of fourteen academies; ten primary schools, an all-through primary-to-secondary academy, two alternative provision academies (Primary and Secondary), and a specialist setting for children/young people who suffer from social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The Trust has an excellent reputation within Bradford and beyond, and an outstanding track record of supporting staff in developing their careers through specialist training lead by the Exceed Teaching School Hub and our Outstanding SCITT.

The successful candidate will:
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall, encouraging positive behaviour, manners and a calm atmosphere
- Monitor and support pupils on the playground and in other indoor or outdoor areas during lunchtime
- Encourage positive play, helping children to join in games, resolve minor conflicts and build friendships
- Support the smooth running of lunchtimes by setting up or clearing away equipment as needed
- Model and reinforce the school's behaviour expectations and safeguarding policies at all times
- Have experience working with children in a similar role
- Understand the importance of safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing in a school setting
