Lunchtime Supervisor job summary

The Lighthouse Multi Academy Trust are looking for a Lunchtime Supervisor to join the team at Meadow View Academy.

Meadow View Academy is situated next to Doe Bank Wood, in a pleasant area with extensive school grounds. Barr Beacon is just on our doorstep! We are looking for a Lunchtime Supervisor to work alongside our current team. This vacancy will include one hour of supervising pupils throughout their lunchtime and one hour of listening to pupils read.

The successful candidate will:

Actively engage with children during lunch time

Have the ability to remain calm and fair whilst upholding the school’s policies

Relate well with children of all ages.

Be a role model for children by treating them with respect and acting fairly but assertively in implementing the school’s policies

Understand Safeguarding and how to report any concerns appropriately

Previous experience as a lunchtime supervisor or experience of working with children on a regular basis is desired

Assist children in the canteen to choose and eat a healthy lunch, encouraging the use of good manners and social skills and ensuring a clean and safe environment

Be able to work as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
