Lunchtime Supervisor job summary

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor. As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that pupils have a safe, enjoyable, and well-managed break during the school day. This role is ideal for someone who is caring, observant, and confident in working with children in a busy school environment.

You will be responsible for supervising pupils during the lunch period—both in the dining hall and in the outdoor or indoor play areas—encouraging positive behaviour, promoting healthy eating, and supporting social interaction. Your duties may include helping younger children with meals, managing queues, resolving minor disputes, and ensuring that all pupils are safe and engaged during their break.
