We are a small, friendly, Church of England school set in an enviable location in the Staffordshire Moorlands on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Children join our school in Nursery at 3 years of age and move on to their next journey at the end of Year 6 at the age of 11 years. The majority of our pupils leave to move onto Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Ashbourne.

At Waterhouses, we want all our children to flourish and achieve their potential. We strive to provide them with all the necessary opportunities to be the best they can be both socially and academically.

Standards at our school are extremely high both academically and through our extra-curricular provision. Academically we are at least in line with the Local Authority and national and in most areas we are above. We have a variety of school clubs to provide extra-curricular opportunities. Our pupils also compete with other local schools at a range of sport’s events throughout the year.

We are blessed with our very own swimming pool and all our pupils from reception to Year 6 receive a weekly swimming lesson all year round led by our own qualified staff. We welcome children from the term after they are three to our Nursery. In addition, to this we also offer an onsite offer Before and After school club provision for our pupils.

Choosing the right education for your child is one of the most important things you will do for them. At Waterhouses CE Primary Academy and Nursery we believe that education is not just a preparation for life – education is life itself!

Please do not hesitate to contact the school office to come and look around and see first-hand our fabulous children, dedicated staff and superb facilities and surroundings.
